Victoria Lloyd came to this work through Adult Protective Services, investigating allegations of financial exploitation against vulnerable adults. House by house, case by case, what she saw was a pattern bigger than any single case. The pieces were all there: a lawyer had drafted the document, a doctor had written the script, a bank was holding the money, an adult child was trying their best. But nothing was connected. The life at the center was slipping through the spaces between. She started Athena Advocacy to be that essential connection.
At Athena Advocacy, we work across money management, legal navigation, and care coordination. One whole-picture practice, because a life is not three separate challenges. Some clients engage us for just one piece. Others engage us for several at once — as trustee, as agent under power of attorney, as executor when the time comes, and as court-appointed guardian when a situation calls for it. Either way, we bring the same understanding: no piece exists alone. We sit with the difficulty when a hard decision has to be made, walking alongside the client every step of the way.
What began with Victoria is now a multi-generational practice. Her son Jack has joined the work, alongside a team of trained, empathetic professionals committed to a single cause: standing with the people who need someone in their corner, with all of it.
Athena Advocacy rides the eye of the storm. The conflict does not always resolve, but at the center we help find calm. We absorb what we can so families can stay families. We help clients start foundations in their family's name. We help them see The Alps, Tuscany, The Bahamas. We uncomplicate the chaos, and we help dreams find their footing. Because these can be some of the most vital years of a life — and we make sure they get lived that way. Since 2015, this has been our promise and our work.
