Jack brings years of ground level experience in end of life communication to Athena Advocacy. As founder of My DNR Wish, and its later expansion Solacia, Jack designed and brought to market a physical kit, a door sticker and document pocket, solving a specific, high stakes failure: first responders unable to locate a person's DNR or COLST in an emergency, resulting in unwanted treatment against their wishes. Solacia extended that mission with additional products built around the same core problem: making sure a person's end of life wishes are documented, findable, and honored when they can't speak for themselves. Jack is also a certified Advance Care Planning Facilitator, trained to guide individuals and families through these conversations before a crisis hits.

That experience, seeing firsthand where communication breaks down between individuals, families, and the systems meant to protect them, now shapes how Jack is serving clients and building Athena Advocacy’s internal infrastructure: training systems, documented processes, and communication protocols designed so client wishes, whether about care, finances, or end of life treatment, are never lost to a gap in the system.
